Guests should review the cancellation policy displayed during checkout before confirming a reservation.

If you need to cancel, contact Rawson Touring as soon as possible and provide your booking reference, travel dates and reason for cancellation.

Changes to confirmed bookings

Requests to change travel dates, traveller numbers, pickup locations or itinerary arrangements are subject to availability and the conditions of the confirmed booking. Additional costs may apply.

Third-party bookings

Where a reservation was made through a third-party booking platform, the relevant platform’s cancellation and amendment procedures may apply. Guests should also contact the platform through which the reservation was made.

Important: The cancellation deadline, refund amount and any applicable charges are those specified in the terms accepted for your particular booking. This page does not replace those individual booking terms.

5. Pickups, Departures & Transport

Pickup and departure arrangements vary between tours. The confirmed itinerary or booking information specifies the meeting point and departure time.

Hotel and accommodation pickups

Where hotel collection is included, guests should provide the correct accommodation name and address before departure.

Airport and cruise-terminal pickups

For airport or cruise-terminal arrangements, please provide your flight or vessel details, arrival time and a working contact number. Notify us promptly if your arrival schedule changes.

Departure readiness

Guests should be ready at the confirmed meeting point at the agreed time. Delays may affect the day’s itinerary and the ability to complete all planned activities.

Vehicle arrangements

The vehicle used depends on the tour, number of travellers, route and operating requirements. The confirmed tour description or quotation provides the applicable arrangements.

6. Passports, Visas & International Travel

International visitors are responsible for ensuring that they have the correct travel documents for South Africa and any other country included in their itinerary.

Passports and visas

Visa requirements depend on nationality, passport type, destination and length of stay. Check the official immigration requirements before making travel arrangements.

Cross-border journeys

Journeys involving countries such as Eswatini, Lesotho or Namibia require additional planning. Passport requirements, entry permissions, vehicle documentation and insurance must be confirmed before departure.

Travelling with children

Additional documentation may be required when travelling internationally with children. Requirements can depend on nationality, custody arrangements and the countries visited.

Health preparation

Health precautions differ between destinations. Kruger National Park is in a malaria-risk area, while Addo Elephant National Park is in a malaria-free area according to SANParks.

Consult a qualified travel-health professional before departure about vaccinations, malaria prevention and any other destination-specific health requirements.

7. Weather, Wildlife & Activity Conditions

Weather-dependent activities

Some outdoor activities depend on weather and operating conditions. Strong winds, rain, poor visibility or other conditions may affect certain experiences.

For example, Table Mountain cableway operations may be affected by weather. Any changes or alternative arrangements depend on the activity provider and the confirmed tour.

Wildlife sightings

Safari experiences take place in natural wildlife environments. Animals move freely, and sightings depend on natural behaviour, weather, habitat and other conditions.

Rawson Touring cannot guarantee sightings of particular animals or all members of the Big Five.

Changes to itineraries

Where weather, road conditions, safety, provider operations or other circumstances affect a planned activity, arrangements may need to be adjusted.

Any applicable changes, alternatives or refunds are subject to the conditions of the confirmed booking and relevant activity provider.

8. Guest Responsibilities

To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, guests are asked to:

  • Provide accurate booking and contact information.
  • Check their booking confirmation before travelling.
  • Arrive at the agreed pickup or meeting point on time.
  • Carry the required travel documents.
  • Inform us about relevant dietary or accessibility requirements.
  • Follow the instructions of guides and activity operators.
  • Respect wildlife, protected areas and local communities.
  • Follow applicable park rules and safety instructions.

Respect for wildlife and natural environments

Guests must follow the rules of national parks, private reserves and activity providers. Wildlife should never be approached, fed or disturbed.

Personal belongings

Guests should take reasonable care of their personal belongings and travel documents. Keep valuable items secure during transfers and activities.
